How group rates work

A desert safari group booking starts with one message to the booking desk. Send the date, the headcount and the areas you want to be picked up from, and say which package you like. If you are not sure yet, say so, and the desk can suggest one that fits.

The booking desk replies on WhatsApp or by email with a group quote: the group rate and the payment terms. You see both before you commit to anything. Free places for teachers or group leaders can be discussed with the desk.

A deposit is taken when you book. The booking desk agrees the amount with you for your group, or you can pay in full, by secure payment link or bank transfer. The final headcount date and the rules for changes are agreed the same way, group by group.

Above a set group size, a booking carries its own cancellation terms, confirmed in writing at booking. The cancellation and refund policy says where that line sits.

Enquire early, especially for December, January and Ramadan. The desk can only confirm what is free on your date, so an early message has more to choose from.

School groups and field trips

UAE schools and visiting school tours can book a desert safari as a field trip. Every school has its own approval process, so tell the booking desk what yours asks for, and the desk confirms what it can provide for your trip.

What a school can ask for, subject to availability and confirmed by the booking desk:

  • A copy of the DET license held by the licensed operator behind the trip.
  • An insurance summary.
  • Activity information you can use in your school's own risk assessment.
  • A qualified first aider at the camp.
  • One seat and one seat belt for each student.
  • A site visit for teachers before the trip, arranged with the booking desk.

Choose a morning or an evening package, or the Desert Safari Without Dune Bashing package, which drives straight to camp. Age rules for younger children sit on the guides for desert safaris with kids and with toddlers.

Message the booking desk about a school trip

University student groups

Student societies, orientation groups, graduating classes and visiting student groups all start the same way: a date, a headcount and a pickup. A desert safari for students is booked like any other group, and student group rates are quoted on request. They depend on group size and date.

Pickup from a campus can be arranged. Tell the booking desk which campus and which meeting point suit your group. One organiser sends the details and receives the quote.

Message the booking desk about a student group

Corporate groups and team building

A corporate desert safari suits a team outing, an offsite, a client evening or a conference group. You deal with the booking desk from the first message to the final headcount. If you want the evening to double as team building, ask about team games and activities at the camp.

Invoices and supplier paperwork

A company gets one tax invoice for the whole group and can pay by bank transfer. Purchase orders can be arranged. For your supplier registration, the booking desk can send documents such as the trade license, the VAT certificate and a bank letter. Credit terms are agreed with the desk, company by company.

Private camp use for a company evening

Whole-camp private use, a private seating area, team games and activities, a sound system, and AV and branding can all be discussed, on an availability basis. They depend on group size, day and time, so ask the booking desk what is possible for your date. A private desert camp for one company is a request, not a package.

Getting your team there

Pickup can start at your office or at several hotels, which suits a team spread across the city. For colleagues who would rather skip the dune bashing, the Desert Safari Without Dune Bashing package drives straight to camp. Dietary needs go in with the headcount; the camp serves halal food with vegetarian, Jain and allergy-aware options. In Ramadan, an iftar evening for the team follows the programme on the Ramadan safari page.

Alcohol: talk to the booking desk; we may be able to accommodate your needs on certain packages.

Celebrations, clubs and other groups

Wedding or celebration

Wedding guests and celebrations

Wedding guests travelling together, and parties marking a birthday, can book a desert safari as one group. A photographer can be added on request. Each celebration is set up case by case with the booking desk, depending on availability.

Friends or family

One booking, more than one vehicle

Friends and families travelling together can book as a group too. A private vehicle takes up to six guests, and a bigger party can travel in more than one vehicle on the same booking. The booking desk confirms the vehicles and pickups.

Read about friend groups

Community or faith group

Clubs, associations and faith groups

Residents' associations, sports clubs, cultural societies and faith groups can ask for a group quote like any other group. Tell the booking desk about prayer times, a women-only arrangement or a request for female drivers or guides; each is arranged case by case.

Travel industry

Trade enquiries

Hotels, agents and event companies: ask the booking desk about partner rates.

Coaches, minibuses and pickups

A group does not have to travel by 4x4 alone. Coaches and minibuses run as well as 4x4s, so a desert safari by bus is worth asking about. Which vehicles suit you depends on your headcount, the date and the pickup areas, and the booking desk confirms what is free for your date.

Pickup can start at a campus or an office, or at several hotels on one booking. Group pickups also run beyond Dubai, from Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi. Pickups outside Dubai carry a surcharge under the published pickup rules on the evening safari page. List every pickup point in your message; the checklist below shows what else to send.

Food and camp facilities

All food is halal. Vegetarian, Jain and allergy-aware options are available, and the camp has a prayer space and toilets. Send dietary needs and allergies with your headcount.

Always ask the booking desk for your special request; we may be able to accommodate anything on a case by case basis.

What to send the booking desk

Paste this list into WhatsApp or an email and fill in what you know. A half-finished list is fine; the desk asks for the rest.

  1. Group type and organisation name.
  2. Date, and a second date if you are flexible.
  3. Headcount: adults, and children with their ages. For schools, add students, year groups and staff.
  4. Pickup: one point or several, with the areas, hotels, campus or office.
  5. The package you like, or "not sure yet", and whether you want morning, evening or overnight.
  6. Dietary and accessibility needs.
  7. Anyone who would rather skip the dune bashing.
  8. Paperwork your organisation needs from us, such as a tax invoice, supplier documents or school trip documents.
  9. Budget per person, if you have one.
  10. When you can confirm final numbers.

Leave student names, ID numbers and medical details out of the first message, and do not send ID photos unless the booking desk asks. Final lists and medical notes go to the desk directly, later.

Before you book

Questions organisers ask

  • Do you offer group discounts for a desert safari?
Yes. Group discounts depend on group size and date. Send the date, headcount and pickup areas, and the booking desk quotes a group rate and the payment terms before you commit. Free places for teachers or group leaders can be discussed with the desk.
  • How many people can you take on a group desert safari?
Groups of any size can ask. The booking desk confirms what fits your date, so give your headcount and your day first. Bigger groups may travel in coaches and minibuses as well as 4x4s.
  • Can you pick up from our school, campus or office?
Pickup from a campus or an office can be arranged, and so can pickups from several hotels on one booking. For a school, give the booking desk the address and it confirms the pickup for your date. Group pickups beyond Dubai, from Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, carry a surcharge under the published pickup rules. List every pickup point when you write.
  • Can you invoice our company, and do you accept a purchase order?
Yes. A company gets one tax invoice for the whole group and can pay by bank transfer. Purchase orders can be arranged, and supplier documents such as the trade license, the VAT certificate and a bank letter can be sent for your supplier registration. Credit terms for companies are agreed with the booking desk, which confirms the details for each company.
  • What can you send our school for its trip approval?
Tell the booking desk what your school's approval process asks for. For a school group, the desk can send a copy of the DET license, an insurance summary and activity information for your risk assessment. A qualified first aider is at the camp, each student has one seat and one seat belt, and teachers can visit the site before the trip. The booking desk confirms each of these for your group.
  • Can some of our group skip the dune bashing?
Yes. The Desert Safari Without Dune Bashing package drives straight to camp for guests who would rather skip it. If only part of your group wants that route, tell the booking desk, which will say what can be arranged for your date.
  • Is the food halal, and can you cater for vegetarians and allergies?
Yes. All food is halal, and vegetarian, Jain and allergy-aware options are available. The camp also has a prayer space and toilets. List dietary needs and allergies with your headcount. Always ask the booking desk for your special request; we may be able to accommodate anything on a case by case basis.
  • Can we book the whole camp or a private seating area?
Both can be arranged, on an availability basis. Whole-camp private use and a private seating area depend on group size, day and time, so discuss them with the booking desk. The same goes for team games and activities, a sound system, and AV and branding for a company evening.
  • How far ahead should a group book?
As early as you can. Enquire early, especially for December, January and Ramadan, because the booking desk can only confirm what is free on your date. The final headcount date is agreed with the desk for each group.
  • What deposit do groups pay, and what happens if our numbers change?
A deposit is taken when you book. The booking desk agrees the amount with you for your group, or you can pay in full, by secure payment link or bank transfer. Changes in numbers follow the rules agreed with the desk for your booking. Above a set group size, a booking carries its own cancellation terms, confirmed in writing at booking; the cancellation and refund policy has the detail.
