Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-14
These terms govern any use of BookMySafari.ae (the "site" or "platform"). By submitting a booking enquiry, contacting the booking team on WhatsApp, or otherwise transacting through the platform, the visitor agrees to these terms.
The platform is a booking intermediary. The actual safari is operated, on the ground, by Velari Tourism L.L.C (the "partner operator"), Dubai DET tourism licence number 1491675, registered to a mainland Dubai address and verifiable on the UAE National Economic Register.
1. Acceptance and capacity
The visitor warrants that they are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter contracts in their jurisdiction, and are booking on behalf of every adult and minor in their party (with documented guardianship for minors).
2. Service description
BookMySafari.ae publishes safari packages, prices, inclusions, and pickup windows. A booking enquiry submitted through the site or WhatsApp number is forwarded to the partner operator. Confirmation is sent to the visitor's WhatsApp number, usually inside 10 minutes during the published office hours.
3. Pricing and payment
- All prices are quoted in AED. VAT, where chargeable at 5 percent under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017, is included unless explicitly noted.
- Payment is collected by the partner operator's payment processor in cash on pickup, by card on pickup, or by online card transfer ahead of the safari. The platform never charges the visitor directly.
- A package is confirmed only when (a) the visitor receives a WhatsApp confirmation message with the partner operator name + DET licence number + vehicle plate slot, and (b) any agreed deposit has cleared.
4. Cancellation, refund, and reschedule
The detailed cancellation and refund policy lives at /legal/cancellation-refund-policy/. In summary, cancellations made 24 or more hours before pickup receive a full refund to the original payment method within 5 business days. Cancellations inside 24 hours of pickup may be rescheduled at no extra charge to any future date within 6 months. Same-day cancellations forfeit the deposit because the vehicle, driver, and camp seat are already allocated.
Operator-side cancellations triggered by a sandstorm advisory, exceptional rain, or any safety condition entitle the visitor to a full refund or a free reschedule at the visitor's choice, per UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 (Consumer Protection).
5. Health, safety, and fitness to travel
A Dubai desert safari involves off-road driving on natural sand dunes, exposure to outdoor heat, and physical activities such as camel rides and sandboarding. The visitor agrees to disclose, at the booking step, any condition that may affect fitness to participate. This includes pregnancy, cardiac history, recent surgery, severe back or neck injury, motion sensitivity, severe allergies, and the age of any child under three. The partner operator will route a visitor with a contraindicated condition to the no-dune-bashing tier at the same AED price, or recommend an alternative package.
A visitor who fails to disclose a material condition releases both the platform and the partner operator from any liability arising from that condition.
6. Behaviour on tour
The visitor agrees to comply with the driver's safety instructions, the camp's cultural etiquette, and UAE Federal Law on alcohol and substance use. Alcohol is permitted only at licensed-camp tiers. Public-area drinking is illegal in the UAE. Drone use over private Bedouin camps is permitted only with prior written permission from the camp operator and the General Civil Aviation Authority.
7. Limitation of liability
The platform's liability for any claim arising from a booking is capped at the total amount paid by the visitor for that booking. The platform is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Operational liability rests with the partner operator under its own civil-liability insurance, the policy summary of which is shared with the visitor on request.
8. Intellectual property
Editorial content, photography, schema metadata, and the platform's brand marks are owned by BookMySafari or licensed to it. Reproduction without written permission is prohibited. Unsplash and partner-operator image rights are credited at the foot of the relevant page or in the contributor attribution.
9. Third-party links
The site references third-party sources for fact-check evidence (Visit Dubai, UAE National Economic Register, RTA, DET, IUCN Red List, etc.). The platform is not responsible for the content of third-party sites.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai courts. UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023 take precedence over any contradicting clause in these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
Material changes are published on this page with the new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after the date constitutes acceptance.
